How we work

The Medistic Standard

This is the page most wellness brands do not write. It explains exactly what has to be true before we cover something, and what we will tell you when it is not.

Why we publish this at all

Anyone can say they are science-informed. It costs nothing and it means nothing. What actually separates credible sources from marketing is whether they will tell you the parts that do not help them.

So here is our standard, in public, where you can hold us to it. If we ever fall short of it, you have every right to point at this page.

Five commitments

What we look at before we cover anything

Four questions, asked in the same order every time.

EVIDENCE

What has actually been studied?

Peer-reviewed work first. We look at who ran the study, how many people were in it, how long it lasted and who paid for it.

INDEPENDENCE

Who says so, besides the seller?

Manufacturer literature is a starting point, never the case. We look for independent work and for people with no stake in the answer.

PRACTICALITY

Does it fit a real life?

Cost, effort, maintenance and whether a busy person would still be doing this in six months. Most wellness advice fails here, not on the science.

SAFETY

Who should not do this?

Contraindications, medication interactions and anyone who should speak to their doctor first. This section is never optional.

The words we use, and the ones we will not

This applies to our website, our emails, our events and anything a Medistic Living consultant says on our behalf.

Tell us. If we have overstated a piece of research or missed something important, we would rather hear it from you than leave it standing. Corrections get made on the page, not quietly deleted.
